Influence of Public Transport Management in Łódź on the Improvement of the Quality of Life of the Inhabitants

Summary/Abstract: Nowadays, the pace of life in urban agglomerations is significantly accelerating and urban agglomerations are becoming less and less friendly to their inhabitants due to communication difficulties in them. Fast and efficient movement around the city is becoming more and more important for city dwellers - especially medium and large cities. Cities implementing the idea of efficiently functional public transport are developing, and at the same time becoming an attractive place to live, rest and run a business. The aim of the article is to evaluate the concept of modernizing public transport in Łódź in the light of the opinion of the inhabitants. The main goal is to present solutions that improve the quality of public transport, paying particular attention to the possibility of improving passenger transit, e.g. through the optimal exchange of passenger flows between various means of public transport, assessing the possibilities of improving public transport.
