Summary/Abstract: The following material is the result of the collective work of a working group that has proposed to analyse the content of a text called “Synthesis” provided by the Press Office of the European Center for Studies Harghita-Covasna, a material containing 53 articles / spread over 18 months in the period January 2017 – June 2018,on the reflection of the Centenary of the Great Union in the visual-written Hungarian press from Romania and Hungary. The aim of the research was to identify the intensity and orientation of the Hungarian press on important elements for the Romanian public consciousness. At the same time, the research aimed to identify the magnitude of negative Hungarian feelings towards itself and to Romania / Romanian. For this, specific word sand expressions with resonance for Romania (“Great Romania”, “Great Union”,“Trianon”, “Trianon 100”, “autonomy”, “Szeklerland” etc.) were followed, and nonspecific words and expressions that denote emotional load. A particular emphasis was placed on the analysis of the negations in the analyzed text, taking into account that almost half of Hungarian speech on the Centenary that Romania is celebrating are various forms of denial of this subject. Also, the material contains the results of the text emotionality analysis, made also in terms of the idea of stigmatization.
