Summary/Abstract: Covid-19 remains a major source of disruption and challenge facing thousands of Camerooniansand the world at large. This has greatly affected the pattern of livelihood in several communitiesacross Cameroon. This paper scrutinizes local perceptions of Covid-19 and human rights violationsassociated to the enforcement of barrier measures in Cameroon. The study adopted a qualitativeresearch style approach based on a rigorous analysis of data collected. Data for the study wascollected from both primary and secondary sources. Based on its findings, the paper contends thatCovid-19 pandemic as a health challenge was characterized by misconceptions and human rightsviolations in the implementation of its barrier measures in Cameroon.
