Some Aspects Concerning the Legislative Agreements Between the Public Library and Readers

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to offer to all those interested some clues concerning the legislative agreements concluded between the public library and readers, because the knowledge of those agreements must be considered a sine-qua-non condition for a better partnership. Because the agreements are not always discharged - and probably the most frequent offence refers to non-observance of the specified term of returning books - there are some penalties that must be applied. The paper presents the different stages that must be followed, before applying those penalties. There are also some suggestions concerning the library legislation that refers to a better co-operation between library and its readers.
