Summary/Abstract: The thesis “The relationship between emotional regulation, locus of control and psychological well-being” has a quantitative approach. The purpose of research is to identify the correlation between emotional regulation, locus of control and psychological well-being in students. The study population consists of students from the two Universities of the city of Tetova. The sample includes 298 students, both male and female, with an average age of 21.89. The measuring instruments that are used in this research are: Emotional Regulation and Control Scale (ERIK)- (α = 0.85), The Multidimensional Locus of Control IPC Scale (α = 0.73), and Ryff’s Psychological Wellbeing (PWB) Scale (α = 0.68). The results showed that emotions affect students' thinking and memory, as well as a lack of emotional control. Most students have an internal locus of control and psychological well-being above the expected average. No statistical correlation was found between regulation and locus of internal control, but a weak correlation was found between academic success and psychological well-being. The results confirmed gender differences in emotional regulation. Gender differences were also found between academic success and psychological well-being, and statistically significant differences depending on the age and internal locus of students. Given both the limitations and the ethical aspects of the study the recommendations are also in context not generalizing to the whole population.
