The Radical Right in the Post-fascist Era

Summary/Abstract: This article explains the meaning of radical right throughout history from its origin to nowadays. In addition, it tends to explain the new manifestations of the radical right after World War II. The fundamental focus is on understanding the ideology of the extreme right through its adaptation to a specific time and circumstances. Also, this article compares the ideological position of the radical right concerning its opposite radical left, as well as the activities of the radical right in Europe, the United States, and the Western Balkans, with special reference to the connection between this ideology and wars of the 1990s. This article also examines the economic and social causes of the sharp rise in popularity of the radical right, which implies the role of the migrant crisis, the growing trend of Islamophobia, and market-economic trends.
