Summary/Abstract: After more than two years since the foundation of the legal and institutional framework of the private pension funds, the latter have shown their efficiency through their higher yields when compared to other types of financial investments. This paper provides an analysis of the positive aspects of these funds activity and envisions some future directions, which, in our opinion, may generate the same higher yields in the future for their participants and may generate positive effects in the economy, as well.
