GEOPOLITICAL INFLUENCES ON COUNTRY RISK ASSESSMENT

Summary/Abstract: The concept of influence had an important evolution during times, having such a spectacular evolution as humanity had. The influence of different factors concerning country risk can have a positive or a less favorable effect on analyses and quotation. Recent events connected to the global recession proved the growing influencing capacity of rating, by mechanisms with a high geopolitical ground. Fundaments of such ideas are proved by a comparative study of powerful economies of the world. Such a study identifies similarities, but the economies are treated in different ways by the main rating agencies, based on fundamentally subjective arguments.
