Summary/Abstract: Considering the national, European and international experience, the author sets himself the task to identify the general ways of improving the decisional process within the sub-systems of public administration. Under these circumstances, the reform process of the decisional system in Romania is being analyzed, at governmental level, in what concerns the substantiation, implementation and assessment of public policies, launched by the central public authorities. As a conclusion, from a systematic perspective, the reform of the process of formulating, deciding, implementing and assessing the local and central policies from Romania remains open in what concerns a higher level of comprehension and thorough study, the precise specification of the work division between the main representatives of the Governmental structure, in particular.
