OPTIONS ABOUT THE ROMANIAN PUBLIC UNIVERSITY EDUCATION FUNDING

Summary/Abstract: In order to assure its future, the public university education sector should be a national priority for the government in terms of investments, because it can generate effects in the long run in terms of human resources instruction and the knowledge production. However, our country allocates a too small percentage of the GDP in order to face the qualitative challenges of the European education. Analyzing the public university education in our country and its financing should be an easy task. Its findings conclude that the university education is underfinanced, because of the small number of its contributors. The reduction of the public funds financing leads the universities to reckon other sources of funding, this being vital for the future of the academic education.
