Summary/Abstract: Entropy is a concept since long largely and successfully used in thermodynamics and in technologies and since longer there are attempts to introduce it in economics and social sciences too. The use of entropy in economics can help in creating conditions for optimal development and preventing crises or recessions. A quantitative approach should be necessary and in the paper an attempt of quantitative approach is presented. That quantitative approach connects the entropy of an economic system to the speed of values entered into that system. The economic system in this respect can be a national economy, the economy of a group of states or the world economy.
