Summary/Abstract: The central focus of the article is the treatise on comedy penned by twelfthcentury writer and scholar John Tzetzes. The article provides both the Greek original and a Polish translation of this text together with a commentary. The transcription of the Greek text is based on MS Vat. gr. 97. In the introductory chapters the author and the manuscript are discussed.
