Specifics for identification of a witness with a secret identity

Summary/Abstract: Identification by witnesses with a secret identity is a relatively new way of proving in the Bulgarian criminal process, and when carrying out the identification, measures must be taken to prevent direct contact of the person carrying out the identification with the persons concerned. When a witness was initially questioned as a secret witness and subsequently as a public witness due to the revocation of the protection applied to him, this does not in any way affect his procedural capacity. He remains a witness with all the ensuing evidentiary consequences
