Summary/Abstract: SWOT analysis is a wellknown technique in strategic planning which aims at the integration and coordination of information regarding the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats which the company faces, and which should enable the selection of the best performing strategies in the market for the company. The problem facing the classic SWOT analysis is the assessment of the relative importance of the SWOT factors, and consequently, the relative preference between alternative courses of action. Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), as a multicriteria decision making method, defines the formal framework for decision making, allowing decision makers to perform modeling of the complex problems through a hierarchical structure, showing the relations of goals, objectives (criteria), subobjectives, and alternatives. The combination of the elements of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the SWOT technique resulted in the creation of the A'WOT method for making strategic decisions. In this paper we analyze the application of the A'WOT method, and illustrate it in a case study on the example of Vrnjačka Banja.
