Summary/Abstract: The article constitutes a comparison of two ways of writing a biography on the example of Arthur Domosławski and the Marek Kusiba works. Both authors wrote the book on Richard Kapuściński, whereby Kusiba, choosing the form of blurred genre (the hybrid of biography, autobiography, and diary), created his own in allusive opposition to the Kapuściński non-fiction biography. He thereby confirmed the thesis of Beata Nowacka and Zygmunt Ziątek which states that it is impossible to talk about the famous reporter without making reference to the dispute generated by the biography written by Domosławski. The Kusiba’s view on the limits of the writing biography will be presented and aims for which the author chose the hybrid genre while writing about the life and work of Kapuściński.
