Summary/Abstract: New challenges of educational practice require more autonomy and creativity from each educator. He must have certain personal and professional competences that will be constantly upgraded. One of the most professional competences is the ability of permanent review and continuous self-evaluation. In that process, the educator becomes a reflexive practitioner and he always asks himself what does he do? Why he does that and how it works? The aim of our research was to examine educator’s attitude about their own practice and self-evaluation. We also wanted to know what were the limiting factors that influence the quality self-assessment of one’s own practice. A sample of the research was 59 educators. Among the biggest obstacles of qualitative self-reflection, educators identified the lack of time and the job templates that limit their own expression of how to teach. As a basic measure for improving reflexive practice, educators emphasized the improvement of professional abilities of educators as well as education about new and better quality self-evaluation approaches.
