Summary/Abstract: The learning process of construction by using this tool (which can be accessed in the virtual location http://moodle.utm.md/course/view.php?id=140), is destined to the students of the Faculty of Textiles and Polygraphy of the Technical University of Moldova, within the discipline "Applied Information Technologies", for the students of the bachelor's degree program "Technology and design of textile garments", as well as within the discipline "Functional and ergonomic design in textiles" for students of the master's program "Design and product development". Student feedback is ensured via audio-video interactions with the teacher. The methodology of using the instrument presented in the paper, aims to make the basic pattern and then obtain the model pattern, based on knowledge of the characteristics of the in-used prostheses. In order to achieve the design objectives, it is necessary to create a database. Databases are used in all activity areas where there is a need to record, store, and process a large information volume. In the spreadsheet applications framework, databases are made in data lists form. The creating a database stages are: generating the structure, filling in the necessary information, drawing up reports or making calculations. The paper presents an Excel database intended for the postoperative bra-type product basic pattern construction calculating. To create the database, initial data were used: values of constructive additions established depending on the textile material type from which the bra is made, product data, anthropometric data on the wearer as well as the external breast prosthesis characteristics. The database can be completed according to needs and can be used in the teaching activity (as an application in the process of acquiring and verifying the practical skills of training and administration of a new database in Excel, acquiring the calculation and construction way of basic patterns for functional and ergonomic products) but also in research activities. As a further direction of development, it is proposed to develop a design software application.
