Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the aspects related to the training of the medical staff, within the intensive care units, regarding the use of the developed SMART textile product for monitoring the premature babies. The product made in the form of specialized clothing with integrated electronic system, but mobile, can ensure the monitoring of vital parameters and can be useful when a situation of respiration occurs, called apnea, a common situation for premature babies. In addition to monitoring data, the product performs the basic function, namely dressing the child and maintaining the body temperature constant. The collaboration with a specialized company is extremely important in the development of the needed software in this particular case. The methods of interactive training of the medical staff within the intensive care unit, and parents as well, include: 1) Informational material presented in a print-run user guide of the integrated system, in which the steps of dressing and undressing the product are explained. The technique of tracking the data received by the sensors and presented through a mobile application is explained. 2) Demonstrations using the simulation on the practice and procedures of using the smart textile product. 3) A video that has been created to support the training of the people involved in the monitoring process. These methods made it possible to inform and train both the medical staff and the parents of children born prematurely in the use of the smart textile product. Due to the fact that the clothing is simple to change, and the electronic system is not fixed on the child's body, but is integrated, the child's annoyance time is reduced. The sensors are sensitive to the movements of the child's chest, simultaneously measuring the frequency of breathing, heartbeat and temperature.
