Summary/Abstract: Online learning is important in the process of acquiring information, but it also must be relevant in the process of socializing. Online learning gives students the opportunity to share and acquire knowledge through active cooperation. Even online, one must remember that cooperation through communication and exchange of ideas is an important part of the learning process. Online, students process the information individually or cooperatively through various strategies. Taking into consideration that online interaction is equally important as academic knowledge acquirement, our present study aims to dwell on a selection of strategies by means of which students’ interaction should be positive and constructive. The selection was made according to specific literature and to the models of practice provided by the teachers included in the project. The items brought under the lens were limited to technology access, creating small groups for school learning, peer reviewing, teacher’s online support, guiding students to focus on online tasks and plan the work into a limited time schedule, applying a set of rules of online interaction behavioural patterns, obeying speaking and writing rules online, providing feedback for task accomplishments and online interaction etc. The sample involved in the research was based on volunteering and included 200 teachers from gymnasium and high school levels. Their experience in the didactic field varied from 1 to 21 years. The results of the research emphasized the importance of being acquainted with several strategies of supporting students’ interaction in online learning activities so that the academic performance should be doubled by the strengthening of the social interaction.
