Summary/Abstract: Irene Nemirovsky (Irina Leonidovna Nemirovskaya, 1903–1942), a French writer of Russian origin, emigrated to France in 1919. Before becoming a well-known novelist, Nemirovsky wrote verses which weren’t published during her lifetime and to which in more mature years of her life she never returned. The analysis of youthful poems of Nemirovsky confirms the early formation of literary subjects which she worked at in her novels. This analysis helps us to understand better the general scope of her creativity and to reject a postulate according to which the writer didn’t adequately knew Russian. The writing of Nemirovsky is entered in a 146 Новейшая история России / Modern history of Russia. 2012. №3 historical and literary context of the first half of the 20th century in which the history of this wave of Russian emigration and the formation of the individual art writing are closely interlaced.
