Summary/Abstract: Movement and body expression exercises are not the obvious choices for mainstream approaches to cognitive and socio-emotional learning. Here we present the preliminary findings of a youth led participatory action research project aiming at a better understanding of wellbeing and educational equity issues associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. We focus on exploring how meaning making and collaborative learning were facilitated through a movement and body expression exercise. Implications for mainstream educational practice are discussed.
