Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes the stage performance of the play „King Lear” by Shakespeare at the National Theater „E. Ionesco” from Chisinau. Emphasis is laid on directing the show, highlighting a series of procedures used by the director: antithesis, parallelism, compositional ring. At the same time, some aspects regarding the scenography and the action of the play are pointed out. The acting , the „dramatic text - show” relationship, the way of mediating between the audience and the show are other important aspects approached by the author.
