VALUES OF THE UNITY OF NATIONAL CONSCIOUSNESS IN THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA: CURRENT MANIFESTATIONS

Summary/Abstract: The historical period in which we live is one of demystification, relativism, modern skepticism and the devaluation of ideals, symbols, humanistic principles, authentic spiritual and cultural creations. In the consumer society we live in, values have mixed with pseudo-values, the cult of mediocrity proliferating at all levels. Materiality, the struggle of interests, abuse have a particularly negative impact on the formation of a representative, conscious and free personality, capable of promoting authentic human values. It seems that we, especially Basarabian Romanians, suffer not only from the complex of not (re)knowing values, which can be defined as a feeling of mistrust, suspicion, hesitation, inhibition, cowardice, denial, etc. At the origin of this complex of ours are envy and carelessness. The state of inhibition, recklessness, lack of will, power and dignity,our flat thinking regarding the knowledge of the national treasure confirms the complex from which we suffer. Returning to the spiritual matrix of the nation, to values can heal/save us from the complex we suffer from, beyond any globalization, synchronization,modernization trends.Several examples of values are proposed and analyzed in the article, which demonstrate our complex ignorance of them.
