Smart city as a new concept of city development in Poland

Summary/Abstract: Due to the fact that urban population is growing rapidly, quality of life reaches lower level, which determinant is the deterioration of living standard in cities and their uncontrolled growth. This requires the development of urban management system, which can optimize its development, and reduce the cost of its operation in the long run. A new problem, requiring a detailed analysis, is the question of the degree of spatial and economic changes of the city as a result of the use of advanced technology. Their development and rational utilization will improve the quality of public services, saving time and money, and ultimately increase the quality of life in the city.
