Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to reveal the artistic effects that the concepts of eternal youth and immortality have in the novel The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde from the perspective of their aesthetics. As critical reception has been diverse in comprehension and evaluation it becomes obvious that the multifaceted literary work from the end of the nineteenth century is profound in both its composition and thematic structure.
