Summary/Abstract: This article reviews Bernard Beckett’s “Genesis” (2006) in the context of the dystopian and post-apocalyptic Young adult fiction. It provides an overview of the origin and evolution of the English Young adult fiction and offers a possible approach to examine similar texts from the Bulgarian canon
