Summary/Abstract: Our study is a plea for the implementation of the action-based perspective in the Teaching of Romanian as a Foreign Language (TRFL). In the context in which many cities in Romania are academic destinations increasingly sought after by international students, it is necessary to urgently align TRFL methodology to the European paradigm, in order to meet the learning needs of the target audience. The present study proposes a practical solution for the transition from the communicative perspective - the functioning area of the didactics of the Romanian language as a foreign language - to the action-based perspective, the requisite promoted by CECRL.
