Ladies and Damsels in certain Localities on the Middle Siret, presented in Historic Documents and the Works of certain Authors

Summary/Abstract: The paper aims to present aspects of the life and fight of certain ladies and damsels, among these, on the forefront, Lady Ecaterina, the wife of the first local voivod of Moldavia following the Phanariot rule. At the same time, we present ladies and damsels, widows of former officials with high positions in the ruler’s court or in districts or localities on middle Siret. Thus, after Lady Ecaterina, we present Safta Iurașcu, Zmaranda Iurașcu (wife of governor Ion Movilă), Profira Miclescu, Ruxanda Lipan and Viorica Văsescu-Agarici the president of the Red Cross Society of Roman district, the saviour of the Jews in the „death train” on 3rd July 1941.
