Summary/Abstract: Religious buildings are true offerings brought to Divinity and are a step forward in the spiritual development of human communities. The parish and church dedicated to „Saint Demetrius” existed in „Campul Poştei”, Bacau district, up to the last quarter of the 20th century. The constant regression of the communist period eventually lead to their disappearance. A new church was erected on the place of the former, the Curch for the hearing and seeing-impaired „Protection of the Mother of God” Bacau, a religious edifice in Maramures style. Thus, a true oasis of tranquillity was created near the confluence of Barnat stream and Bistrita river.
