Summary/Abstract: The daily needs of man, especially the use of goods, can often be met only by the possibility of the loan of use, a situation which, in legal and civil matters, binds the subjects concerned by a contract called, lease. Thus, long ago, relationships formed during the use of another's property spread rapidly, requiring the right to resort to detailed regulation of these categories of relationships. At the same time, the concomitant development of legislation in the targeted segment in different states could not help but encourage legislators to consult each other's regulatory style. Because the legislation of the Republic of Moldova, from the beginning, had the need to borrow civil norms from several legislations, a great attention was paid in this respect to the Romanian legislation. Now, when Romania's legislation is substantially connected to the European Union legislation, the interest of the Moldovan legislator to be inspired by it is growing significantly, especially in the integrationist context in which our country finds itself. In these circumstances, our study comes to prepare, doctrinally, the field of debates on the lease, realizing the first stage of them - the identification of points of tangency, as well as those of divergence between the laws of the two states.
