Summary/Abstract: Imitation (emulation) is a very important skill in the development and the life of man. It is one of the basic forms of behaviour that develops in sensorimotor stage of development. The same thing that it is necessary for the acquisition of skills such as language and gestures, which are a critical piece of the social behavior of a typical development of imitation is an important factor in the development of speech. One of the first symptoms in children with autistic spectrum disorders have difficulties imitations. The aim of this study was to determine the difficulties of vocal imitation in children with autistic spectrum disorder in relation to children with intellectual disabilities and the children of the typical ages. The survey included 90 children and 30 students with autistic spectrum disorder and in relation to weight stapen of autism, 30 students with intellectual disabilities and 30 students of a typical development. For the purpose of research were used the following tests: ABLLS, The Assessment of basic language and learning skills the author Parington and Sundberg from 1998. An extensive and multiple was a useful test material that affects many areas of learning and development. It also extracts the imitation as a particularly important area in the assessment and work with people with autistic disorders. The results of the study showed that children with autism have a lot of weaker ability of vocal imitation compared to children with intellectual disabilities of unknown etiology and children of a typical development of younger age.
