The „maize” (millet) culture on the territory of Moldavia from the Middle Ages until the mid-nineteenth century

Summary/Abstract: In this study, the author reviews, based on various sources, the development of the „maize” culture in Moldavia, from the medieval period up to mid-nineteenth century. It was emphasized that this cereal was cultivated continuously in Prehistory, Antiquity up to the modern times.
