This tradition appeared in Ukraine at the turn of the XVIII–XIX centuries as a cultural transfer of the Romantic Epoch. For this reconstruction, the author uses methods of comparison, review of the literature as well as technological, typological and artistic-stylistic analysis of museum artifacts. It was determined that in the first stage of the tradition, Ukrainian craftsmen used the following techniques in most in their artworks: threading, sewing «v prykrip» (in-sewing) and stringing; at the end of the XIX century, beaded weaving technique also became popular.
