Summary/Abstract: In turbulent times of globalisation, transition and market economy all business subjects, as well as their managers and employees, are exposed to changes which cause stress and it can be said with certainty that changes are one of its most frequent causes. The level of stress depends on the type of changes that are being made and on their consequences. Stress in general, as well as the work stress, is a complex phenomenon that has a wide range of causes and consequences on individual and organisational behaviour.This work was an attempt to analyze the stress management of managers and employees. The role of stress management in an organisation is established, along with application of the measures of effective stress management and the activites for its improvement in the future are proposed. This work proved that effective and efficient stress management is one of the key factors for successful long-term business of any organisation. In first part of this work theoretical settings of stress management in an organisation are processed, and the second part research of quality of stress management of managers and employees is conducted. At the end of the work there is a proposal of activities for improvement of stress management in organisations. This cognition, acquired on the basis of the results of this research, can be useful for business subjects, as well as all the stakeholders, in creatinga stabile, long-term successful organisation with a healthy working climate in more demanding and more challenging business environment.
