Summary/Abstract: This study aims to present some statistical data concerning the natural movement of population in the city of Constanţa between 1890 and 1895, according to the information provided in the 1890-1895 volumes of Romanian Population Movement [Mişcarea populaţiunei din România], an annual publication of the General Statistics Service of the Ministry of Agriculture, Industry, Commerce and Domains. To begin with, it will analyse the marriages that took place in the city of Constanţa during the six years in question (in terms of the spouses’ civil status, religion, age and education). It will also examine the number of live-born children (in terms of sex, civil status and religion) and deaths (in terms of gender, civil status, age, religion, cause of death) recorded in the city of Constanţa between 1890 and 1895.
