Summary/Abstract: The article refers to an event in 1956 that took place at the Romanian Legation in Argentina and involved a serious violation of human rights. The driver of the legation, Gheorghe Coman, refused to return to Romania when he had to be repatriated with his family and was threatened with a revolver, his wife was abducted along with her children, only the intervention of Argentine citizens and then the police managed to calm the situation relatively. A child remained abducted in the legation, requiring the intervention of the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs to be released. As a result of this episode, the Argentinian government declared Anton Moisescu, the head of the mission, persona non grata, asking him to leave Argentina. It was a serious moment of denial of human rights by the Romanian diplomatic authorities in the communist regime.
