Summary/Abstract: In recent decades, there has been a new wave of interest for the Person of the Holy Spirit in several areas of Christian theology, spirituality and church life. In fixing the terminology of the dogma of the Holy Trinity, secular culture played a decisive role. The philosophical depth they accumulated on the benches of the famous school in Athens, from famous teachers (Himerius, Proheresius and Lebanon), was the one who managed to detach the Cappadocians from Pneumatoma heresies, they choosing weed wheat, as it is written in the Holy Gospel of Matthew. The Cappadocian holy fathers were and remain in the life of the Church haloed by a special theological, philosophical, historical, pastoral, social-philanthropic and literary prestige. Their theological works, which they have left us, continue to impose themselves through an exceptional power of thought, a chosen literary form and a remarkable historical importance. Many theologians naturally regarded the Cappadocian fathers, along with the teachings of the Second Ecumenical Council of 381, as the most representative guides for the correct understanding of the teaching about the Holy Spirit, the Lord of life, the Maker, who proceeds from the Father, He who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified (the Symbol of Faith).
