Summary/Abstract: After the the Ottomans’ withdrawal over the Danube, following the outbreak of the Russian-Turkish War between 1806 and 1812, and after the Principality of Moldavia regained its authority over the former Hotin County, the members of the Flondor family from Bukovina came into possession of two estates in this land – Cobâlceni and Hlina, which were returned to them under the right of inheritance. The Flondors remained the owners of these land properties in Bessarabia throughout the Tsarist rule.
