Summary/Abstract: Summary This paper explores the relationship between play and free time. It strives to show that play mostly takes place during free time, and, on the other hand, that free time is fully realized only through a play, especially through a child's play and artistic play. In fact, there is no play without free time, and there is no truly complete free time without a play. Such a relationship between a play and free time leaves room for assumption that play appears as free time, and free time as a play, which is, in a certain way, the exercise of freedom. That is why only the true, unspoilt play and the right time for being free as well as the freedom of time make free time and free play. Play and free time are not two types of difference but, on the contrary, of same- ness.
