Summary/Abstract: The article provides insights into a qualitative research aimed at capturing employees’ perceptions of the consequences of an offshoring project within the IT industry, namely as a result of an acquisition process. The research findings were analyzed semantically and in terms of content, whereby the results are congruent with influencing factors on acquisitions found in literature. As a recommendation following the results, we highlighted some aspects which, if taken into account, can enable a successful acquisition and integration.
