Summary/Abstract: Current paper focuses on ranking competencies of occupations specific to master graduates at the German Study Line. The master level study program analyzed within this research is “International Management”. The authors identified three most probable occupations to be filled in by a master graduate of the German Study Line: project manager, sales manager and quality system manager. All three occupations were selected among Romanian occupational standards specific for the field of economic sciences. Using Gemba approach, the major German employers were questioned about the utility of each competence unit, for each of the three occupations. Using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) as a ranking technique, specific in structuring decisionmaking, the authors highlight the specificity of competencies to be delivered by a master graduate of the German Study Line.
