Summary/Abstract: The article configures the analysis of the cultural identity of the different types and forms of performances of the Moldovan Dramatic Theater created from the late 1920s to the 1950s, in which the characteristics of social transformations were manifested. The analysis is based on the performances of modern Soviet and foreign drama, which have enjoyed the acclaim of the general public from many republics of the former Soviet Union and appreciated by critics. These shows, dedicated to the current topics of contemporaneity, possessed a civic identity and, to a certain extent, a cultural one. The performances based on classical drama in the repertoire of the theatre were true works of theatrical art provided with a high civic and cultural identity. All Moldovan national performances were characterized by an organic link between national, civic and cultural identity. Depending on the presence or lack of the national, civic and cultural identity in the shows, the image of the time in which they were created appeared. The Moldovan theater is revealed as an artistic phenomenon of world importance in the study.
