Summary/Abstract: The time of the Internet from 1990 to 2000 can hardly be compared with the digital world in which we live today. For a long time in media histroy, we were talking about a one-sided, straight line of information from the content creator to the content consumer with a corresponding legal framework that has existed for centuries. The former legislation of the press was no longer able to fill the new modern framework of the Internet. This gave rise to the early myth that the Internet is a lawless space in which almost Wild West rules dominate. The study outlines the appearance of social media, the transformation of Internet communication, and the arc from Web 1.0 to Web 2.0, highlighting the difficulties legislators and regulators may face with this new medium.
