Summary/Abstract: Altai Tuvas are one of the Tuva groups living in Mongolia, excluding the Tyva Republic. They are also known as Sengel Tuvas. Since the day their existence was detected by the scientific world, new information has been collected and published about them. Erika Taube was the first to discover them and collect ethnological data. The heroic tale named Bay Nazar, which is among the texts that Taube compiled from Altai Tuvas, is a type of tale in the form of Er Töştük, one of the epics known among different Turkish communities in the Turkish World. In this study, an examination of the tale of Bay Nazar, whose full text has not been published before, has been made in this article in terms of form and content. In the study, the heroic tale of Bay Nazar is handled in a comparative way with the Cusup Mamay variant, which was not used in previous Er Töştük studies. At the end of the study, the freely translated text of the tale from Russian to Turkish is included. In the study, results were reached in line with the idea that the tale of Mr. Nazar, which was first put forward by Erika Taube, is the oldest variant in the narratives of Er Töştük.
