Summary/Abstract: In the wedding tradition, which is an element of marriage from the transitional periods, there are various practices and rituals in different settlements of Anatolia. When wedding traditions are examined, it is possible to observe the religious beliefs, practices, instruments, meals, clothes and entertainments of societies. In this respect, it is possible to come across many cultural elements of settlements in wedding traditions. In these times when changes take place rapidly, it becomes difficult to keep the cultural products alive and transfer them. Despite these changes, Haydarlı town, which we think has preserved and kept its traditions alive, has been the subject of our research. Haydarlı is within the borders of the Aegean region and is a town in the Dinar district of Afyonkarahisar. In the study, rituals, practices and melodies performed before, during and after the wedding, which are in the wedding traditions of Haydarlı town, were recorded with the help of a voice recorder and camera. Recorded wedding traditions were described and compiled folk songs were notated. The research is a qualitative study and a field study in which observation and interview techniques are used. It is limited to 9 folk songs compiled in the town center. It is thought that the research will contribute to the literature and will be a source for such studies.
