Energy Relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan within the Scope of Energy Security

Summary/Abstract: With the end of the Cold War, the concept of energy security has come to the fore within a diversified security understanding. The concept is basicly defined as “ the uninterrupted availability of energy sources at an affordable price”. In this study, the significance of energy resources and the conceptual dimension of energy security will be underlined, and the energy relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan will be debated in the context of energy security. The study aims to address the energy dimension of Turkey-Azerbaijan relations within the scope of energy security. The study concludes that Turkey’s energy supply security and Azerbaijan’s energy demand security complement each other.
