Summary/Abstract: A "man of letters" with more than a hundred volumes, he is a prominent figure in contemporary Hungarian literature. We find the author's poetical self-description and the half-hearted formulations of the justifications for the awards to be equally correct if we take a closer look at the work of László Tóth, Hungarian poet, writer, literary translator, dramaturg and playwright, essayist, literary and cultural historian, author of literary discussion books, newspaper editor, publisher.
