Summary/Abstract: Based on the field investigations conducted on the territory of Pomorišje in Romania, in Cenad, Gelu and Saravale, the material was collected, which was used to analyze the prosodic characteristic of the speeches in the mentioned places. This paper will present the accent characteristics – the inventory and distribution of prosodemes in the speech of Cenad, whose basic feature is the New Shtokavian accentuation with four accents, and a completely carried out transmission. When it comes to the prosodic plan, a great influence of the Romanian language is seen as: the loss of the quality distinction of long accents (војска, леђа, била) and short accents (кревет, столица, побегли), frequent lengthening of the short rising accent with the neutralization of the tonic feature (долазио, уплашио, шофер) and almost consistent suspension of the post-accentual quantity (види, креће, сећа – 3rd person of the present).
