Summary/Abstract: After the field research conducted in Banat region in Romania, that is in areas called Rudna, Dinjaš and Šenđurac, there has been collected a material for the analyses of the prosodic features of the dialects. The research itself represents a comparison between Serbian dialects in Banat region in Romania on one hand, and Banat speech of Šumadija-Vojvodina dialect and Smederevo-Vršac dialect on the other hand. In the crucial part of the research there is the analysis of the prosodic phenomena: placement of accent, quantity, quality and unaccented quantity, and, using the comparative method, the research confirmed the specificities of the idiomssimilarities and differencies between them.
