Summary/Abstract: The text presents the wedding ritual and music in the traditional wedding of the Bulgarian community in Banat, Romania. Almost 300 years the Banat Bulgarians have lived together with Hungarians, Germans, Romanians, Serbs, Gypsies and others. Does the coexistence create influences, interactions, interferences – are there any between Bulgarians and Serbs in the wedding ritual and its musical component of both communities alongside of the dynamics of the changes in twentieth century? The text will respond of this question, as well as will mark in general the relations between the Bulgarian and Serb minorities in Romanian Banat, living together in a foreign language context, but also in close proximity to Serbia (Yugoslavia), because of the location of the area.
